Masai Mara Game Reserve actually part of the vast Serengeti plains is famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the big Five — Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Cape buffalo and Leopard. Large mammals are varied, abundant and easy to see. Residents among the Park's Mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Eland, Topi and thousands of plain Game including Impala, Zebra, both Thomson and Grant's Gazelles.

Mt Kenya National park provides habitants for Elephants, tree hyrax, white tailed mongoose, suni, black fronted duiker, mole, rat, bushbucks, water buck and Elands. Animals rarely seen include Leopard, Bongo, giant forest hog and over 130 bird species recorded. Meru National Park is most famous as the setting for Joy Adamson’s book “Born Free”, the story of the Adamson’s life and research amongst lion and cheetah. “Elsa” the lioness was the most well-known and her grave is marked here. Samburu game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Grevys Zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa onyx. The elusive Kenya leopard is often known to visit the park, especially in the evenings.

Amboseli National park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. Other attraction of the park includes opportunities to meet the Maasai people and also offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Amboseli offers some of the best opportunities to see African wildlife because the vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months.
Tsavo is Kenya's largest park, noted especially for its enormous elephant population. Also visit Mzima Springs - an oasis where hippo and crocodile can usually be seen. Tsavo west and Tsavo East are only separated by the Mombasa-Nairobi road, making the entire Tsavo eco-system the biggest game area in Kenya.
